MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
After college graduation, there were no teaching jobs to be found within a 50-mile radius of home and family. So I went back to school to get an MA in history, something the principal said I needed to get a job at his school. As graduation approached again, still no openings. Finally, a position opened up when Arkansas reduced class sizes to 30, requiring more teachers. I took a job teaching middle school children, even though my dream job was to teach high school students. Four months later, the teacher with whom I had interned quit his job at Christmas time and they needed someone who could step in. In January 1986, I started my dream job teaching history and economics to high school students, a job I would love for 30 years until God called me to do something else. I didn’t know what that would be, but He did!
Prayer: Help us to trust You even though we can’t see what is around the corner. You’ve got this! And you want the best for us!
