TUESDAY, JANUARY 15TH Matthew 25:24-25 (The Message)

By: Terri Smith

“The servant given one thousand said, ‘Master, I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error.  I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured your money. Here it is, safe and sound down to the last cent.’”

Why do you think the third servant buried his money? I think it was from fear “whatever the reason.”

Having grown up in a family that was always short on money I learned at an early age the stress this can cause. Fast forward many years and seems like the struggles have followed me into adulthood.

I can’t say that I have money management mastered but I can say that having giving everything to the Lord the stress is gone. Now when I think about money my first thought is “God is First.”

How are you feeling about your money? Does it stress you out? Believe me, I hear you! It did me. That is until I surrendered my all to my Father. Because I know that I am completely in his care………money and all.

Prayer: Father help me to release my finances to you. In your precious name. Amen.
