THURSDAY, MARCH 28TH Colossians 3:17 (AMP)

by: Toya Aultman

“Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

52 days. That is all it took for Nehemiah and the children of Israel to rebuild the wall. Their enemies realized WHO was with them in the process. Nehemiah 6:16 tells us, “When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.” Their enemies realized it! They realized the God of all Creation helped them! What a testimony!

Friday nights and Saturdays, you won’t find me building a wall, but you will often find me hauling a horse and my daughter to rodeos or horse shows. We have come up with some things that help us both remain accountable. Its eight words we repeat often, “Have fun. Go fast. Shine Jesus. Be grateful.”

In a competitive world, where everyone is always trying to one up you or go just a bit faster, it’s a great reminder to us that whatever we are doing, we do it all for the glory of God, giving Him thanks. It’s not always easy. Some days the Mama Bear comes out, some days the teenage mouth shows up, but always always always on the way home, we talk things over, ask forgiveness, give glory to Jesus and thank God for the blessings. This New York City loving woman never saw this part of life coming, but I do pray God will get the honor and glory and we will remain forever grateful, in every word and every deed.

What has God given you to do? Be sure to point it back to Him!

Father God, thank You for the blessings in my life! My worst days would look like good days to others, keep me mindful of that. Father, guard my heart against the enemy today. Allow every word I speak, every action I take to point others to You. May You get all glory and honor. Amen.
