THURSDAY, APRIL 25TH 1 Peter 2:24 (NIV)

by: Toya Aultman

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.””

Friday has past. Silent Saturday is over. The tomb of Sunday is open.

Now what?

We live in hope.

We live in the hope of the Savior who took every sin we ever committed and nailed it to Calvary’s tree.

We live in hope of an empty cross and an empty tomb. We live in hope that He hears every whispered prayer, every cry of despair.

We live in hope that He gives strength to the weak and comfort to the broken.

We live in hope that our name is written on the very hand of God.

We live in hope of the Risen King coming again to take us home.

We live in hope.

Oh most gracious Father, thank you for loving us beyond anything we can conceive that you would send your son to die for us. Today we thank you for the empty cross, the empty tomb and hearts filled with you. Amen
